Tom Perron, NP, is a seasoned Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Harlem Family Services, located in the East Harlem community of Manhattan in New York City. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of mental health and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals of all backgrounds. His deep commitment to mental health and community wellness is reflected in his decades-long career, which blends clinical excellence with a strong foundation in nursing education and advocacy.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida International University in 1999 and went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health from Columbia University in 2007. During his academic journey, he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Over the course of his career, Tom has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the nursing profession. He is a recipient of the Gertrude E. Skelly Foundation Outstanding Achievement Award, the Florida Nurses Association Charitable Trust Award, and the South Florida Nurses Coalition Award of Excellence.
He maintains active professional memberships with the American Nurses Association, the New York State Nurses Association, the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association, and Sigma Theta Tau. Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to culturally competent care, Tom continues to be a trusted provider and advocate for mental health in the East Harlem community.
